Ronald Sheridan, Founder and Senior Appraiser
Ronald Sheridan has been a fixture in the New York area estate appraisal and asset liquidation market for over 25 years. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, he was the lead appraiser and asset sales manager for Attic Treasures and later worked as an independent contractor and consultant. He has contracted directly with, and consulted for many of the top law firms, accounting agencies and worked with individual estate executors throughout the tri-state area. Recognized as an authority on personal property, Ronald is qualified to give expert witness testimony in the areas of antiquities, antiques, decorative arts, jewelry, books, photography, stamps and coins, high fashion and textiles, fine art, 20th century modern, 19th and 20th century collectibles. Ronald’s relationship with dealers and auction houses throughout the U.S. and Europe is comprehensive and wide ranging.
Jessie Kane, Co-founder
Jessie Kane began her career as a textiles designer and spent several years as a professional within the New York Fashion Industry prior to joining Astor Galleries as an assistant appraiser in 1994. As co-founder of Sheridan Appraisal and Asset Liquidation of New York, she contributes in the areas of appraisals, personal property research, family outreach, asset liquidation and sales. Jessie has extensive experience working with her contacts in the clothing consignment and jewelry industries and has developed strong professional relationships with many of the experts at Christie's, Sotheb'y and Doyle auction houses as resources for sales and research. Her warm and sincere nature is notable and appreciated by both clients and industry professionals alike.
Ann Roberto, Client Services and Business Development
Ann Roberto is responsible for marketing and business development, business operations and customer relations. Prior to joining Sheridan Appraisers and Asset Liquidation of New York, she worked as an independent contractor in the personal property and art appraisal industry providing her clients with a variety of management, marketing and research services. In all, Ann brings with her more than 18 years of organizational and business management experience.
Robert Cowell, Partner
Robert Cowell is responsible for high-end sales. Prior to joining Sheridan Appraisers and Asset Liquidation of New York, he spent 20 years in the interior design industry where he developed a hands-on expertise in the areas of antiques, furniture, textiles, lighting, and fine art, as well as sales and business management. Robert has developed relationships with many of the countries top interior designers and architects as well as owners of high-end showrooms, art galleries and auction houses. Robert completed the Pratt Institutes certification program (curriculum, instructors and materials provided by American Society of Appraisers) with the goal of eventual membership in the ASA. Through this extensive and rigorous program, Robert learned the most up-to-date appraisal service methodology and techniques and has brought this knowledge to Sheridan Appraisers and Asset Liquidation of New York. Robert has completed the 15 hours USPAP course and passed the USPAP proficiency test.
